    Terms of Service

    Effective date: 1 March 2026

    Fintech Payments (Pty) Ltd operates TrafficFines.org as a private payment service. This is not a government website.

    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By accessing or using TrafficFines.org, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the platform immediately. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

    2. Description of Service

    TrafficFines.org is a private payment service operated by Fintech Payments (Pty) Ltd. It enables South African motorists and fleet operators to check available traffic-fine records through licensed third-party data partners and facilitate secure online payments. This is not a government website.

    3. User Obligations

    • You must provide accurate and truthful personal information, including valid South African ID numbers and vehicle registration details.
    • You may only search for fines associated with your own identity or vehicles you are legally authorised to manage.
    • You must not use the platform for any unlawful purpose or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.
    • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials.

    4. Payments & Refunds

    All payments processed through TrafficFines.org are final. Payments are submitted directly to the relevant municipal or traffic authority. Refund requests must be directed to the issuing authority. TrafficFines.org charges a convenience fee as disclosed prior to payment confirmation. All amounts are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.

    5. Accuracy of Information

    While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information returned by licensed third-party data partners, TrafficFines.org does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of fine records. Synchronisation delays between issuing authorities and data partners may result in temporary discrepancies.

    6. Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, TrafficFines.org shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including but not limited to incorrect fine amounts, delayed payment processing, or database errors.

    7. Intellectual Property

    All content, trademarks, logos, and software on TrafficFines.org are the property of Fintech Payments (Pty) Ltd or its licensors and are protected under the Copyright Act, 1978 and the Trade Marks Act, 1993.

    8. Termination

    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the platform at our discretion if a user violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or misuses the service in any way.

    9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

    These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa, Gauteng Division, Johannesburg.
